Veteran and former Division One Offensive lineman, Wolfgang Zacherl (Wolf) owns and operates Apx Athletics. Born in Pennsylvania and raised in North Carolina, Wolfgang attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte on a football scholarship where he played for five years. Postgraduate, he was commissioned in the United States Coast Guard where he joined multiple sporting teams as a Coach and Player such as Warrenton Warriors, Carolina Blue Wave, Puerto Rico Rugby, and Coast Guard Rugby.

Ultimately following his passions for athletics and business, Wolfgang completed his active duty service to begin his work in bringing Apx Athletics to what it is today.

APX Story
As a former offensive lineman who weighed 320 pounds, I know what it means to be overweight. Then came a turning point: preparing for the military. Dropping over 75 pounds and maintaining that loss for over four years taught me something critical—sustainable change is about much more than workouts and diets.

That’s why I started APX: to create a training company focused on lasting change. Our mission is to equip clients with the education, structure, and support they need to succeed.
​
Weight loss, living healthy, and taking control of your well-being does not have to be complicated. But it does require a understanding—a shift in mindset. It’s not just about eating less or moving more. True success comes from building better habits, creating environments that support your goals, and understanding how your food and exercise choices impact your body and your mentality.

At APX, we teach clients how to set up cues and routines that reinforce positive habits. By creating environments that reduce temptation and promote healthier choices, we help shift the focus from chasing numbers on a scale or calories burned to achieving overall well-being, control and consistency. This isn’t about a temporary fix; it’s about creating a lifestyle, not a diet.
